    House Fires

Just wanted to take a minute to remind everyone to be careful as the nights get cold. I work as a 911 dispatcher and have worked 2 trailer fires in the past 2 weeks. Sometimes a few precautions can prevent these disasters. Fortunately there were no lives lost in either fire. Please take a few minutes to check things out before a disaster loike this happens to you.

Everybody in Big Stone Gap had SURE better be careful. We don't have enough water to fight a fire.

Anybody been through Duffield lately? A house recently burnt to the ground right on the four lane.....about 200 feet from the fire department.

Yeah, that happened on my birthday. Unfortunately, since it is a volunteer FD, I do not think many people man the Jasper FD. It truly is a sad situation.

yeah... it burnt to the ground...

we sprayed, and sprayed, and sprayed... that hydrant was the worst i've ever pulled water from

i thought the ones in appy were bad, but you could piss more pressure than that hydrant could put out
